In her book Radical Acceptance, Tara Brach explores the notion that our greatest suffering comes from a deep underlying core belief that somehow we are not good enough, that something is wrong with us, that we need to be different in some way.

Monthly Meditation Circle
Meditation can help to relieve stress and bring more peace and balance into your life. Come to this sacred circle as we gather our group energy together in meditation. Though meditation methods from various traditions will be introduced, we will spend most of our time in meditation with a brief sharing at the beginning and a brief reading at the end. No experience necessary.
Drop-ins are okay, but pre-registration is preferred.

Introduction to Meditation Practices
What are we doing when we meditate? How do we choose a form of meditation that resonates with our temperament and individual needs? In this workshop we will explore the how-to and purpose inherent to all meditation forms. In addition, we will practice together traditional sitting meditation, Sanskrit and Arabic mantra practices as well as Sufi walking and movement meditations. Come sample the many ways there are to kneel and kiss the ground!

Format: We will begin with meditation, followed by a brief talk by me, followed by questions and sharing.

Experience the beauty of silence at a tranquil setting overlooking Newfound Lake and the White Mountains, while joining White Mountain Sangha teachers for an intimate 3 days of silent meditation and inquiry into the truth of what you are. Norman and Margaret will be present to offer guidance on spiritual awakening through meditation, discourse, and dialogue. Satsang, meditation, gentle movement and silence throughout the weekend will prove the participants with the opportunity to discover the deepest nature that is part of them already, but still silent.
